Des Moines Family Photographer: Josie, Kenny and Luke

I met Josie, Kenny and Luke on a cool October evening in their hometown of Albia. Their city park is just a small nook of amazing nature, tucked along the side of main road leading into town. Luke had a lot of energy to burn that evening as he told me stories of days he would play in the park with his dad. His imagination ran wild with excitement of being a fireman for Halloween. I can see why Josie and Kenny loves taking Luke here. It is a hidden gem of many places to explore.

Des Moines Family Photographer: Tamie, James, Amelia and Conner

Nature has a way of changing plans for outdoor photography. I met Tamie, James, Amelia and Conner on a rescheduled date because of a weather forecast the day before our original Saturday session. There were some benefits to moving it out a week as the fall colors kicked in a little more but it was a little more cooler than the week prior. None the less, I had a great time getting to know their family, especially talking to Amelia and Conner about giant goose eggs, ketchup and almost everything else two little ones could dream up.

Des Moines Family Photographer: Ashley, Erik, Sebastian and Brynn

Ashley, Erik, Sebastian and Brynn met me on an overcast Saturday in September for a family session. We had originally scheduled for a mid morning shoot but decided to move it up due to some rain forecast for that time. It was an awesome session and surely enough, the rain came shortly after we finished. I'm always excited to meet up with the four of them to get to know a little bit more about what's been going on with their lives.

Des Moines Portraits Photographer: Tyler Ankeny Centennial High Senior Class of 2014

Tyler is a senior at Ankeny Centennial High who has his eyes set on Iowa State University next fall. We met near the Science Center for his senior session after the Iowa State Fair had come and gone. We talked about his summer and the break up of Ankeny High into two separate schools. He is a very calm kid with a seemingly polite demeanor. Best of luck to Tyler in his bright future.

I met with Cora at her home for her three month session back in August. It's always fun to see the changes babies go through during these times. Cora was giving a smile in between her expression while drawing her attention to her mom and dad.
