Des Moines Children Photographer: Maddux Three Month Session

After the countdown ended and when Maddux came home, the days began turning into weeks. From sleepless nights and countless diaper changes to a plethora of smiles and silent whimper yawns, the abyss of parenthood can only prepare you for one thing. That nothing is certain but everything will be alright. We are constantly learning and changing with the adventure of our son. Our bond is growing stronger with each passing moment. And now that weeks have turned into months, the daily look of joy in his eyes and the smile he returns to us makes capturing his personality in his three month session worth every fleeting hour.
In this set of photos is a very special Mother's Day session I did for Tosha. Love can be expressed in words. But nothing can truly define the feeling I hoped to have captured in images.

Meet Cora. In April, she blessed this world with bright eyes and a soft smile. I had the opportunity of meeting this sweet little lady in mid May for a newborn session. Cora was wide awake when she greeted me but all that work getting her photos taken made her sleepy towards the end of the morning.

Brynn is a sweet little lady with lots of charm and bright smiles. In the moments before the session she was full of joyful words. It would have been such a great day to go outside but it was so windy outside that even the wind would have blown me away. Fortunately, we were able to get away with a few great images.

I met up with Trip again back in April at the Western Gateway Park. This is the fourth time seeing trip in a little over a year. I first met him while taking his mom and dad's engagement photos in March of 2012. He's a fun boy to follow around and like most boys, he was full of energy. There were times though that I caught his calm personality.

Kayla and Mitchell's engagement photos were taken back in late March at the Des Moines Botanical Garden with their daughter's Easter photos. Kayla and Mitchell had such casual and relaxed personalities during the session. It was really nice to talk to them about their wedding planning and their future together.
