Des Moines Portraits Photographer: Gina, Des Moines East High, Class of 2015

Even though Gina has a few months left at East High, she has a pretty good jump start on her career. Through out high school, she's been taking pre-requisite courses and has a few hurdles left to begin her life as an RN. We met on a breezy but warm October Sunday for her senior session. It was probably one of the last good days of autumn and I enjoyed taking Gina and her sisters and mom around downtown Des Moines. It was a fun time laughing and talking about what she's been up to. Good luck Gina in all that you do. We are very proud of you!

Des Moines Senior Portrait Photographer: Rachel, Knoxville Class of 2014

Rachel is a senior at Knoxville High School, ready to explore her ambitions at the University of Northern Iowa to pursue a teaching degree. But today, she had a band competition to participate in, to show off her percussion skills.
Today was a really awesome session. It was really cool to talk to her about her future and what she'd been up to. It was also a wild photo day as Rachel insisted having a horse and one of her chickens be a part of her photos. It made for a very fun morning!
I wish the best to Rachel as she follows her dreams.

Des Moines Family Photographer: Tamie, James, Amelia and Conner

Nature has a way of changing plans for outdoor photography. I met Tamie, James, Amelia and Conner on a rescheduled date because of a weather forecast the day before our original Saturday session. There were some benefits to moving it out a week as the fall colors kicked in a little more but it was a little more cooler than the week prior. None the less, I had a great time getting to know their family, especially talking to Amelia and Conner about giant goose eggs, ketchup and almost everything else two little ones could dream up.

Des Moines Portraits Photographer: Tyler Ankeny Centennial High Senior Class of 2014

Tyler is a senior at Ankeny Centennial High who has his eyes set on Iowa State University next fall. We met near the Science Center for his senior session after the Iowa State Fair had come and gone. We talked about his summer and the break up of Ankeny High into two separate schools. He is a very calm kid with a seemingly polite demeanor. Best of luck to Tyler in his bright future.

Des Moines Senior Portrait Photographer: Kaylinn, Ankeny High Class of 2013

Kaylinn is a senior at Ankeny High School. In the fall she will be attending Iowa State University to major in  engineering. I think today we picked the worst day out of the week just to see if pictures on a gloomy could be possible. Me, I wore my winter jacket, a pair of gloves, a scarf and a hat. Kaylinn braved the cold and rain and what didn't make it any better was the wind. However, she remained resilient and was positively down to earth through out the session.
