Des Moines Family Photographer: Josie, Kenny and Luke, Autumn 2012

I get to see Josie, Kenny and Luke for photos once a year and Luke twice. For one, he's my energetic nephew and secondly, family photos are important to Josie and Kenny and I would very much agree. It is a great way for families to see how much they've grown and changed with each other. Memories are a precious commodity in life and photos give us a chance to cherish them. The best part of my job for returning families is the new changes they've gone through. Seeing Josie, Kenny and Luke each year is always a fun and new experience. This year, in addition to being mobile, Luke tells us what's on his mind!

Des Moines Senior Portrait Photographer: Kaylinn, Ankeny High Class of 2013

Kaylinn is a senior at Ankeny High School. In the fall she will be attending Iowa State University to major in  engineering. I think today we picked the worst day out of the week just to see if pictures on a gloomy could be possible. Me, I wore my winter jacket, a pair of gloves, a scarf and a hat. Kaylinn braved the cold and rain and what didn't make it any better was the wind. However, she remained resilient and was positively down to earth through out the session.

Des Moines Senior Portrait Photographer: Briana, East High Class of 2013

Briana is an East High senior who's eager to get her life started after graduating in 2013. She plans on attending the Ankeny DMACC campus before heading off into a bigger and brighter path. She is shy and funny but through out our session, she remained genuinely humble and open minded. Did I also mention that Briana is also my cousin? It seemed like it was just yesterday that her and her sisters were having a slumber party at our house burning the marshmallows for our s'mores and staying up late watching scary movies. Wow! Time sneaks up when you're having fun.

Des Moines Wedding Photographer: Beth and Tyler Wedding

Beth and Tyler are good people. They have a great supporting family and group of friends. They are also very fun to photograph. If you see a familiar face or two, that's because I was also the photographer for Beth's sister's wedding earlier in the spring. Back in May I took Jenny and Timmy's wedding. Of all the weekends in September, this one was windy and brisk. Even with the chill in the air, we had a fun and fabulous time!

Des Moines Family Photographer: Aiden, Two

Aiden turned two a couple of weeks before our session in September. He was shy at first but one thing I learned about this young fella was that he is really easy going. Once we got to know each other more, I think his fun and playful personality shine through as we walked through the alleyways and store fronts of Valley Junction.
