Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 8:23PM It's always a fun time hanging out with Luke. You never know what kind of adventures you'll go on. Tucked behind the Knoxville hospital is a landscape full of places to explore. Luke has only been here once but he walked that place like it's his own playground. It was like he was almost giving me a tour of the garden. Such fun times indeed!
Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 8:26PM I took a trip to Ottumwa at the end of June to meet little miss Sadie for her newborn session. I had an awesome time taking maternity photos for her mom and dad, Robin and Tony and her session was no different. She was wide eye at first but quickly fell asleep in her dad's arms. She was such a preciously little lady, staying sound asleep while her four legged brothers, Sash and Diego were talking up a storm.
Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 4:25PM Tosha and I have been anxious for spring since Maddux turned one in January. Our last session was in the warehouse of West End Salvage which is great for aged rustic backdrops. But he's such a mobile little guy now that being outside was something all three of us couldn't wait for. We took Maddux to the Dale Maffit Reservoir on a Friday evening for his fifteen month photos. It was everything that we hoped he would enjoy; using his curiosity to explore grass as tall as his body, discovering what sand feels like between his fingers and figuring out what could have caused all the old timber to form intriguing shapes. We had such great enjoyment seeing his amazement.
Friday, May 30, 2014 at 8:46PM I had a lot of fun chasing little miss Cora during her one year photo session. It may be that fact that she's recently discovered what those two little legs of hers could do. Or it could be because this was the first time that we had an outdoor session. Either way, I had a lot of laughs with her as she explored the Demonstration Garden in Urbandale. Although the garden was still a work in progress for the 2014 season, a few botanical installments made a very lovely fairy tale scene for Cora.
Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10:18PM The last time that I took photos of Robin and Tony, they were on their way to getting married and hosting a wedding reception. That was truly a magnificent time capturing their special moment. Last week, I met them for another special photo session. This time, they have a little over a month to welcome a little one into the world. We headed into the timber of Walnut Woods and Brown Woods Park for a maternity session. Robin did very well keeping up with Tony and I as we cleared paths to get some inspiring locations. It was good getting to know their plans as they head into parenthood.
