Senior Portraits: Jamie, Class of 2011

I am always humbled and honored to have repeat clients. Last summer, I took Jamie's senior pictures at the Salisbury House. Jamie is the sister of Amber, of which I shot their wedding a few months prior. There was an overcast that day and it did call for rain. Luckily, we were able to grab quite a few photos at the Salisbury House and then had to improvise on a location once the rain down poured. And boy did it come down. We headed over to the old train depot by the Hessen Hause and later on went into the Des Moines Skywalk because it suddenly became brisk.
I had such a blast getting to know Jamie and seeing Amber again.

Bonne Finken

I worked with the very talented and devoted singer/song writer Bonne Finken over the summer of 2008 to create her debut album, Soul on Display. It was very exciting to shoot the photos for her album as well as design the lay out.

Jennifer Raasch

Jennifer is a hair stylist at Estilo Salon in West Des Moines. She wanted to build a body of work for Inspire, the quarterly publication. Make up was done by Malorie Soda.

I had used a triangular light to get a more dimensional look for Jennifer's portfolio book.

I had applied the Dragan technique to a couple of the photos. This effect works well for this kind of industry.
