Life: 365 Days of 2012, Week 1 January 1 through January 7
In a new project I call 365 days of 2012 (original, I know), my initial goal was to take a photo every day and ideally post it in the same day. But given the busy life style and seeing how much room that took away from the cover page of the blog, I've decided to minimize it to a weekly post, still taking photos every day. And since this is really not a Tumbler blog and more of a professional photography blog, it just made more sense that way.
Well, the first week of photos brought a variety of subjects. Through out the year, I hope to give my self weekly challenges just to better myself technically and creatively. Themes like only shoot yellow subjects, shoot Cathederal doors or shoot political signs can be expected. Those aren't necessarily going to be the themes but just to give an idea of how I hope to push myself.
So with out any further delays, here is the first week in photos of 365 Days of 2012.
January 1
The first day of 2012 brought us a nice sunrise.
January 2
Unlike yesterday, which passed the 50 degrees mark, today is bitter and cold but the dead mums in our front yard is still showing color.
January 3
Today we were craving Dairy Queen. Too bad I forgot to take a photo of the Blizzard before devouring it so all you get is what was left before I realized I had not taken a photo yet.
January 4
Tosha received a J. Crew catalog in the mail today. I point this out because she doesn't shop at J. Crew and would probably not step a foot in the store unless I take her with me.
January 5
Today was amazing. It was 60 degrees. A January day like this in Iowa calls for shorts and flip flops. Tosha and I decided to grill one of our favorite food, brats cooked in beer and garnished with grilled onions, diced onions, onions left from the beer broth and other essentials that makes our brats so tasty. My Chicago friends are going to give me a hard time for adding ketchup on my brats but I've been doing it for years and it tastes so good!!!! Add sweet potatoe steak fries and our night is made.
January 6
This is one of those I forgot to take a picture moments so this was a little rushed. I apologize for the uninteresting duplicate of yesterday's last photo.
January 7
This is where Tosha's rings go when she is busy in the kitchen. Today she's making spinach artichoke dip for her outing tonight and for me. I am the luckiest man alive. And here's to a better end than yesterday's photo.
