Des Moines Portrait Photographer: Kaedyn, 9 Months Sneak Peak

Kaedyn is such an observant little fella. It must be from watching his older sister's energetic spirit. I can tell that he will make an impression on Elina some day, but for now, he is only 9 months and learning to walk. When we moved our way outside, he was more curious as ever. It was pretty exciting to see his amazement at everything going on around his world. He certainly is a fun character.

Des Moines Family Photographer: Luke, One Year Sneak Peek

Luke is a little man with a big heart. The session this past Sunday marks his one year, even though his birthday was in April. It was also the first time I saw him mobile in an open area. It was pretty challenging to keep up with this little man. I can't blame him. He had a lot to explore!
If you've been a fan of Luke, you'll noticed that there's been a red wagon in his photos since he was a newborn. My oh my has he grown so much. It's always exciting to see his changes. I can't wait to see him as a grown gentleman. Until then, here are a few photos from Sunday.

All aboard!!! Last ride on the wagon. Going to get me a trike.

Des Moines Family Photographer: Elina, Spring 2011

Flowers, hills, and wind. Oh my!
It's been over half a year since I've had some photo time with Elina. This Thursday was just like what it's always been with her. FUN! Elina has a love for flowers and we were in a field of daffodils. She did not know what to do with all of those flowers but she sure loved being there. We then headed over to Walker-Johnston Park. It was there that the fun really began. Despite the wind, I had a great time capturing Elina in her moments.

I had a wonderful day Elina. See you next time.

Food: Cheese Crisps

One night when Tosha decided to make chicken tortilla soup, she found an interestingly delicious snack to make out of cheese slices. Now this only works on Colby Jack & cheddar cheese. Not sure why but Monteray Jack was just too, weak, I guess. But she basically cut cheese squares, placed it on wax paper and set them in the oven. We made alvocado dip, uh, I mean guacamole dip and then drizzled Mexican cream sauce over them. They were so dang freakin' good!!!!

The chicken tortilla soup, sans sour cream. Forgot to add it for the photos. Oh well.
